Island Service Company
A partnership of two builders working out of Meredith, New Hampshire, with a crew of local craftsmen and their own barge. If it has to cross the water to get to your house, that is the part we do.
Twenty-one things. Pick the closest one — it jumps to the section that covers it, and every section has the phone number in it.

Custom homes, general contracting, renovations and additions, and interior and exterior construction. Marc is the framer; Paul has spent his working life building custom homes. Between them and a crew of local craftsmen, a house on an island gets built the same way a house on the road does — the difference is entirely in the logistics, and the logistics are ours.

This is the job most contractors will not take. A septic system on an island means getting an excavator across the water, working a site with no road behind it, and holding the local permits before any of it starts. Paul is a licensed septic installer in the State of New Hampshire, which is why we can do the installation and not just the digging.

Installation and removal on the season's schedule, construction and repair when a winter has taken something apart, and mooring installation and repair. We also install ice eaters and then monitor them — which is the part that matters, because an ice eater nobody checks is the same as no ice eater at all.

Most island owners are not here in February. We open the house in the spring and close it in the fall, and through the winter we patrol properties weekly so that a burst pipe is found on a Tuesday instead of in May. Plumbing, electrical and general home maintenance and repair sit under the same arrangement.

“Island Service is a timely, reliable full-service contractor providing an essential service for waterfront homeowners. They built our home in 1997 on Bear Island and have serviced it ever since; we could not be more pleased!”
“Thank you! As usual, you rescued us in the moment. I love how amazing everyone who works for Island Services is! Real People!”
Island Service Company is a partnership of two. You deal with one of them directly, which is the whole reason the repeat-business number is what it is.
